We work with homeowners, designers and architects to create beautiful hand-crafted furniture. Starting with raw materials, we take inspiration from our Wiltshire heritage to create pieces that capture the beauty of nature and encompass decades of craftsmanship.
Our authentic approach to craft allows us to harness the best of British manufacturing, from the people we use to the timber in our mill. We are proud to be the makers, fuelled by a passion for sustainability and our environment.
When you work with Forest to Home on a bespoke project, you’re tapping into our expertise of crafting beautiful individual pieces of furniture. We understand – and love – to bring your ideas and designs to life. Every piece we make is handcrafted in our Wiltshire workshops by experts – we turn a creative vision or a seed of an idea into a reality.
Our bespoke process is designed to work around you. Whether you’re time-poor, or you want to leave it all to us – we’re happy to work with you in a way that’s right for you. We can take the lead in terms of design and materials choices – or, we can work alongside you. Whatever you want to achieve, we will welcome you, your family – or your designer – to start the process by visiting us and sharing your vision.
We love to share our love of timber with all our customers. Every type has its own characteristics and individual character. When you commission us on a bespoke project, you’re tapping into our knowledge of working with a wide range of timbers: Scottish Elm, English Walnut and English Oak. You can even see the ‘slabs’ of timber in their raw form – and we can explain the provenance too. Together we will choose something that’s unique to you.
Every piece of furniture we make has a story to tell. It’ll be an heirloom piece – which will become part of your life for generations. It’s this sense of legacy, heritage and timelessness that makes us the maker of choice for so many sustainability conscious families – and indeed some of the world’s leading interior designers and architects.
We want you and your family to be part of the story. So, we invite you to start this journey by visiting us. See the timber slabs in their raw form; meet the people who will handcraft your furniture; see the landscape that inspires us. It’s a special thing to bring something of yourself to the process.
